I am excited and rewarded by my work in equal measures. My particular interest lies in headshots and branding across the full spectrum from entrepreneurs and small companies to large corporate businesses – and schools, colleges and universities.
I take responsibility for you coming across as likeable, capable and trustworthy in your images. Technical excellence is a given but I offer more than that. I take away the stress of you looking your best in your images by coaching you throughout the session. This way you can simply enjoy the process; one where the emphasis is on the shoot being quick, affordable and enjoyable with genuinely great results.
I’ve been a portrait photographer for over 22 years. Before that I was a litigation solicitor. I left law to raise my sons and study photography. After the City & Guilds I spent a fascinating year learning Advanced Portraiture from distinguished BBC and royal photographer, Joan Williams, which left me with a passion for recording faces in their best light. My photographic influences include Lee Miller, Yousuf Karsh, Annie Leibovitz and US headshot photographers Peter Hurley and Dylan Patrick.
I work closely with makeup artist Alison Oswald. I strongly recommend you book an online zoom makeup session with Alison before your photoshoot. She is brilliant at ensuring you are ‘camera ready’ for your shoot using the makeup you already own – www.alioswald.co.uk
I also photograph weddings, events, film shoots, location shoots, Holy Communions and Christenings – and of course dogs.
